Aimee Trayser is one of the founding artists of Bajo El Sol Gallery.  Aimee's pieces, often called mysterious or sensual, are inspired by nature and the visions or images from her dreams. Her collages are the result of the fusion of elements and materials with the passion and joy of the artist's spirit during the creative process.  "I rarely have a preconceived notion of the finished piece in mind.  Maybe I have a wish as to the colors or forms. The collage or painting evolves as the paint dries and the papers mold themselves into these fragments of a colorful vision.

I like to think that my dream-like pieces speak to the subconscious "eve" of the viewer"

 

Aimee will place a sun or moon in most of her collages and paintings as a reminder of the influence these celestial bodies have on our bodies and souls. There is some primitive quality in that image that speaks to us all. In Aimee's words, '

"the Orbs are also a focal point for mediation and contemplation."
