Virgin Island Exodus Written & Compiled by David W. Knight Sr. and Lauerette de Prime

This is a special U.S. Virgin Islands Centennial Commemorative Reprint for 2017. Soon after transfer of the Danish West Indies/U.S. Virgin Islands from Denmark to the United States, the question of citizenship was raised. A system was identified that allowed people wishing to travel to apply for “U.S. Citizen Identification Cards”, though the people had not yet been granted the status of citizen. Through these travel passes the reader can learn and research people that lived in the islands and moved to the U.S. mainland at the time. Includes name, age, where they were from, where they were going, occupation and other details. This is a wonderful resource for genealogists and those conducting research of people and the history of the USVI. Soft cover, 70 Pages.
